Verso Live has been built by broadcast industry experts. We know first-hand what a system needs to work in a live, real-time environment.
Drawing on the power of advanced 3D creation tool Unreal Engine, Verso Live is already in use by graphics service providers, week in, week out, offering you a powerful, reliable solution for your broadcast graphics requirements.
What’s in the box
When you opt for a Verso Live licence, everything you need is included:
Unreal Engine
Unreal Engine is a state-of-the-art engine and editor, and Verso Live harnesses its real-time power to deliver outstanding effects and visuals.
You can download the Unreal Engine editor for free directly from Epic Games.
Verso Live is flexible. SDI, NDI, (IP 2110 coming soon) at HD, 4K, and beyond are all possible with the correct I/O hardware.
You can configure Verso Live to combine outputs for a given channel at the same time. (For example, if you wanted both SDI and NDI preview output).
Verso Live desktop
The desktop application is the core of Verso Live. The Verso Live desktop is where you load your graphics packages built with the Unreal Engine editor.
The easy-to-use user interface lets you set up multiple channels, with multiple outputs per channel. For example, you can configure a preview and live channel, with NDI output for the preview and SDI and NDI for the live.
VLS interface
The VLS interface gives you full control over your graphics. Both new and experienced CG users will quickly get to grips with this user-friendly graphics operator system.
The VLS interface can be accessed through a web browser across any network connected to your Verso Live server. This makes it ideal to use for remote production, and means you don’t need extended KVM sets when operating servers installed in engineering areas.
Data integration middleware
The data integration middleware is the gateway for developers to integrate and automate live graphics.
The Verso Live desktop natively supports TCP connections and ships with free middleware, to extend the protocols to HTTP and Websockets.
The JSON based API command set makes integrating data and controlling Verso Live easy.
Features
Roadmaps
The Verso Live development roadmap is based on constant feedback from those using Unreal Engine and Verso Live for broadcast.
Our key milestones:
- Remote webRTC preview windows for native remote production and control support
- VLS interface – “direct data integration” so you can integrate data sources through an easy drag and drop setup interface
- IP 2110 Output support (AJA and Matrox)
- Unreal Engine 5
